says:This was my first time seeing Sigur Ros and after seeing this show, it will not be my last.
The band appeared and disappeared on and off the stage like ghosts in the fog, all throughout the show. Haunting the theatre with gorgeous music, layer upon layer of sound with breathtaking vocals. Each song was wonderfully orchestrated and took us on a magical journey through their deep catalog all through out the evening. I was transfixed with the entire show.
Now, going back and listening to their records, after seeing this show, takes me on a whole new journey, and I am on board for it all.
Þakka þér fyrir, for bringing your show to my home town. I cannot wait to experience it again.

says:I’m a long-time fan, and also saw their earlier shows in Portland. As expected, great music and amazing performances.

But a couple of complaints that have nothing to do with the band:
~ The sub-woofer/hyper-bass was dialed up way too much!! (Or something like that, I don’t know the exact terms.) At times it was like being in a battle zone!!
~ The Moda Center venue is very difficult to get around in and to find one’s way.

says:I wish you would have played hoppipolla
It has 63million plays on spotify

says:Your shows have always been among the most special concert experiences. I’ve always been completely drawn in to the music, but I wish you had booked another venue in Portland. I’m wondering if it was section specific due to the speaker setup or what the potential issue was, but the sound was unbearable last night.

says:Totally amazing show, I’ve been a fan since I was little boy and my dad showed me Vaka one evening just to see if I would like it and was hooked ever since. To here that song played live made it an iconic memory for me. Thank you for giving the opportunity to listen.

says:After 20 years, the stars finally aligned and I was able to see Sigur Ros live. It was as wonderful as I had hoped. The lighting was gorgeous, the music was spot on. My only complaint (it looks like we weren’t the only ones) was the venue’s sound. It was very painful on our ears – luckily we planned for it and had ear plugs with us. You guys are wonderful and seeing you live was so special.
Music Is Life
says:It was my first time seeing them, and I found it to be a wonderful experience, musically. Like some others, I didn’t love the venue. In the musical stillnesses, I heard things like a rattling HVAC/rigging, and at a couple of points, it was quiet enough to hear the fog machine lol. I’d also close my eyes, transported, and then when I opened them, seeing Trailblazers flags all over the place kind of took me out of the moment. VERY MUCH looking forward to tonight and tomorrow night in Seattle at the Paramount, which is a beautiful venue. There are still some tickets available for tomorrow night in Seattle, if you’re on the fence, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I sat up high at Moda, and the stage design was really spectacular!

says:I didn’t think I was going to have the opportunity to see Sigur Ros live so when I found out they were touring I was ecstatic! This was the best concert experience of my life! Beyond what I had imagined!

says:Performance and music was amazing! The Moda Center needs to do something about the audio. It was so damn, unbearably loud. We got ear plugs from the counter and only then could we truly appreciate and enjoy the concert.

says:Ugg the guy with the Hopi mention because of Spotify…that’s like going to see U2 and being subjected to Sunday Bloody Sunday for 30 years!
Guessing he doesn’t really listen to SR! ♂️

says:If Nick Cave and Bjork had a baby and that baby was a god, a Sigur Rós song would be the only acceptable prayer to that god.
If ever there was a flawlessly flowing set, it was this one.
If ever there was a perfect marriage, it was between the vocals and the instruments right here and on this night in Portland at the Theater of the Clouds.
Enjoyed the seats in row G of the C-level across and above stage center and everything was immaculate.

says:It was an amazing show as expected. The talent is incredible. This was my third time seeing them live, this was the most “rock” sounding one of the three. My favorite show was in 2013, which had strings and horn included. I wish so much they would include that in the tour again. I agree with others, Moda probably wasn’t the best venue. The sound was off compared to 2017 at the Keller. I will keep going when they come to Portland, and cross my fingers they will include the instrumentals.
P.S.
says:You guys really need to get a new sound person. One of the best performances by any band I have ever seen, but not exaggerating, the worst live sound I have ever experienced. Every note was peaking and breaking the entire time and just hurt my ears. It was a giant jumbled mess of sound. I was in section 201, so right in the middle too.
Molly
says:An absolutely amazing show. Being there for the live show elevated all elements of musicianship I could even have imagined. It was simply a pleasure to be there, experiencing all the frisson-inducing sounds. An experience I won’t forget. Thank you for visiting our humble Oregon.

says:What an incredible experience that must have been! Sigur Rós always has a way of creating such an ethereal atmosphere. The combination of their music with the setting in Portland sounds like it was truly magical. Thanks for sharing this beautiful moment!
