Orpheum Theatre

Really excellent show. The choir was surprising and beautiful. Everybody in the audience was very grateful to be there, it felt really special.

My only gripe – and I’ll admit, the thing that compels me to write this – is the setlist could’ve used some of the bigger songs for variety and dynamics. Festival or the back half of (). Even untitled 5 played but ended before the crescendo. I saw them with the LA Phil in 2017 and that show melted my face off with its power and volume towards the end… this was more of a serene bath the whole way through. Both great.

This was f****************ing fantastic!! Holy crap. I extended a layover to come see this show and it was absolutely worth it.
Sigur Ros and the Wordless Music Orchestra put on a performance that mind blowing and done to perfection. The first half was so strong and, having played many of my favorites, I was wondering how they were going to top it with the second. Jonsi played the guitar with a bow. For the second, they kept it ethereal and took the energy to full on powerful. They brought in a choir and used the orchestra to is fullest. I was speechless and left in complete awe. It didn’t matter whether you knew the songs or not, the show was processed though the catharsis tears of countless Gen X dads. Well done.

Such a great show and great way to celebrate my birthday.
