Sublime, deep subtle beauty. The stunned silence of the full house during, and moments after, each song says it all. The breathtaking, ear shattering avalanches of sound I’ve experienced before in their concerts was deliberately replaced with a different category of intensity and sheer brilliance. Full credit to the conductor and the ASO for their exquisite collaboration with Sigur Ros. I love music and life even more as a result of tonight. Takk!

Having never see Sigur Ros live, I had high hopes without any expectation. My lofty hopes were met and left far below. The strings of the ASO were such a perfect accompaniment to the band. Jonsi’s voice rose gently above the music that was powerful and gentle all at once. Subtle chimes, soaring piano and the guitar played so uniquely at the front of many songs, I drank it all in greedily. I found myself staring unblinking at song after song, muttering my very best to the lyrics unknown but so familiar after years of listening. Thank you so much for one of my greatest concert events ever. Hurry back.
