Amazing. Lighting was unbelievable. Drummer was incredibly sexy. Rain made it even more dreamlike.

What a treat to see Sigur Ros again in Santa Barbara at the beautiful Santa Barbara Bowl! The rains came down lightly a few times, but that didn’t take away from the magic — it may have enhanced it. Seeing them perform as a trio was very interesting. This was my 5th Sigur Ros show and I’ve never seen them quite like this. Use of some recorded bits and their trademark multi-instrumentalist talent helped fill out the soundscapes in soaring and powerful ways. On a few songs it was clear that Jonsi had some troubles (briefly stopped singing a few times, exchanged words with his bandmates or stagehands). It made me feel sorry for him that he had to deal with whatever was happening, and reminded me what a grind touring must be and what a technical feat a Sigur Ros show is. And it was! The light show accompanying their beautiful songs was world class. Overall, it was a great show and everyone seemed to love it. I wish them all the best as they continue their North American tour.

The Santa Barbara Bowl is a special place and this was a special show. Sigur Ros, rain and the Bowl was the perfect combination for my Friday night.

First time seeing them and I thought it was a brilliant show- Santa Barbara atmosphere is perfect for their music. We were hoping Brenninstein will be played but nevertheless a great set! :) Thank you

Never a disappointment! So glad I tried, enter & won tickets. I’ve seen every show you’ve played in the LA area & am always blown away. Can wait for the show at Disney Concert Hall. I was at the show 15 years ago when you played with the live orchestra. Sigur Ros you NEVER let me down

I love that it rained. They were beautiful… the sights and obviously the sounds. So stunning. I feel lucky to have been there. Being out in the open like that and being able to look up at the sky and back down at them was amazing. They belonged there. Kinda believe that the falling rain was actually tears of pride from the heavens. Angels. Sigur Ros aren’t human, everyone knows that.

Beautiful set, I saw this same tour in Detroit and seeing it outside in such a wild environment (rain, etc) was totally thrilling. You will always be my favorite band. Thank you for everything!

Sigur Ros has been a staple in my life since my first year of highschool at age 14. I am 30 and found myself struggling with the death of a close childhood friend this week. Every song that was played along with every visual were nothing short of magnificent and otherworldly. I found myself in tears constantly as I allowed the music to heal my heart and inner child. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity.

This was my fifth time seeing the band, and my second time seeing them at The Bowl. It was definitely a unique experience to see them perform as a trio, though they sounded fantastic and the light show and stage design were incredible. Enjoying the show while standing in the pouring rain actually wound up being more special than inconvenient, it was a quite enjoyable experience.
