Wow what an amazing gig! I have been a diehard Sigur Rós fan for years and I must say when I heard it was just to be the core three touring this year I was a little worried. I really shouldn’t have been! The band had a different atmosphere about them and it was fantastic. I must also say that Sæglópur was the best I have ever heard it!! Can’t wait to see you at Citadel next month!
    Takk Takk Takk!!!

Nice lights. Great sound. Not a fan of the stripped back approach – a great deal is lost by paring back the organic approach to creating music. Awful venue. Dreadful crowd. Here’s an idea Bristolians – if you want to have a 2 hour inane conversation don’t go and see a live band.

Brilliant gig! Stunning visuals, great sound and spine tingling music. The encore was absolutely jaw-dropping. Takk

This was my first time seeing Sigur Ros and they blew me away. Jonsi’s voice is incredible live, even better than on record, and the whole performance was tight and professional. I loved the lighting and the stage design! I also loved that they played a varied setlists of classics and lesser-known tracks instead of just keeping to the ‘famous’ songs – not many artists have the courage to do this! I can’t wait to see them again.

First time seeing Sigur Ros after being a fan for many years, was absolutely amazing music with a great visuals as well! Definitely looking forward to watching them again!

Well that was something special, yet again. First time in 8 attempts I’ve actually made the successful effort to be at the very front. If anything this almost made it seem more intimate than the Redditch rehearsal (?)
Fantastic to enjoy amongst friends new, old and web-based. Just a pity we weren’t treated to the extra song Athens and Turkey got to enjoy!
    Perhaps at Citadel?

What can I say? There are not enough adjectives to describe it! But I shall try… This was the 6th time we have seen Sigur Rós, and it never disappoints. From start to finish the show is completely mesmerising, I was lucky enough to be right at the front for this, standing transfixed by the eternal greatness that is Jónsi, Georg & Orri. The sounds, the music, the atmosphere, the emotion is all so palpable, everyone just feels it, whatever it is for them. We made new friends, and had the most amazing time. Also who holds a note for 50 seconds?? Oh yeah, Jónsi does! Can’t wait for Citadel, and the new tour dates I’m sure are on the way, takk, takk, takk, I love you guys! ?

A brilliant performance. The new arrangements of classic tracks to suit a 3-piece band were done very well, and the visuals were amazing. Great atmosphere! See you at Citadel!

Such a beautiful evening. This was my first Sigur Ros concert having been a devotee from the early days. They played their hearts out and my 18 year old son, who’s first big this was, and myself old, and the veteran of gigs going back to the Seventies, were mesmerized by the visual and sonic impact of these three Icelanders. Made some friends as well and had a great time. Then we left Europe…

Fifth Sigur Ros gig and each one unique and immensely breathtaking. Loved the intimacy of Bristol and that the seagulls loved it too! The lights, the music Jonsi’s super clear vocals and your overall awesomeness created an exhilarating night which my husband and I will always remember. Especially so since it was the last night I felt I could truly claim my country was European. Thank you for bringing your beauty into my life and for always coming to Bristol. The 160 mile round trip is always worth it. You are truly inspirational and I love that more than anything.

Blessed to be able to see you guys for the third time. Was intrigued to see how you would do as a 3 piece, but this was an incredible experience. You managed to create such atmosphere and emotion with just 3 of you, struggled to keep my emotions together as I wallowed in awe. Takk forever

I was at the performance in Bristol and watched the BBC footage from Glastonbury. This was the first time I’ve seen Sigur Ros l.ive

So the live performance in Bristol was dramatic and built up to a striking climax.

    However
In a performance where so much pre-recorded sound & effects were added, it was hard to know where the live performance ended and the other sound started. At both the Bristol and the Glastonbury broadcast, you could see Jonsi frantically bowing his guitar at many points – sometimes there were identifiable sounds that tied in with this, sometime almost nothing.
So it felt unreal. and dissatisfying

Sigur Ros it’s been a while, but the gig in Bristol was mesmerising and epic and you certainly did not disappoint.
Great to see a visual display of magnificents The build up and the atmosphere was incredible and the show just built into an explosion of wonderful songs new and old.

Amazing! I have waited a long time to see you guys live and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful music, fantastic visuals and a band that give their absolute all on stage. Thanks for a great night.

    says:

It was an unforgettable gig. I travelled from the isle of man for this (and Belle and Sebastian in London the night before) and it was well worth it. Jonsi was amazing with his bow playing the guitar.
They all are amazing, Georg played the bass with a drumstick on one song and orri was playing drums and keyboards at times too. Great sound and effects behind them suited the songs perfectly. I would agree some people were talking during slower songs which was annoying. Already looking forward to seeing them again.

After listening to Sigur Ros for many, many years my wife and I were able to manage to get to see this one with our 13 year old son. Best gig we have ever been to (and we have been to a few). The venue was amazing and we were able to get down to the front and really feel part of an amazing event. Our son was blown away. Thank you Jonsi, Georg and Orri for making this a special night for all of us.

A magical evening under a clear sky. Stripped back three piece works wonderfully. Enchanting audio and mesmeric visuals throughout a perfectly paced set. Please don’t be strangers. Takk!

First time seeing Sigur Rós live, and it certainly won’t be the last. From start to finish the whole concert was a rush of catharsis. Takk, and hope to see you again in the future!
