One of the best & most surreal shows I’ve been to. The John Anson Ford theater is an outside venue at the base of some foothills in the Los Angeles area. It is a very small venue which added to the atmosphere. If I remember correctly, the setlist was roughly half from the current album Ágætis Byrjun and half from the upcoming album ( ). Toward the end of the show there was a police helicopter flying in the area with its spotlight shining around the hills – adding to the surreal feel of the evening. Topping it off at the end of the evening was the as-yet unreleased (I think) song Popplagið – an amazing song to end an amazing night. Utterly brilliant & epic!
