frakkur (jonsi) made his first solo appearance last saturday in reykjavík. more info on this gig can be found here. this is probably not the last we’ll hear of frakkur, since he’s been writing solo material (primarily electronica and acoustic guitar songs) for a few years now.

we regret to inform fans in new york that due to the downsizing of the field day festival event, which sigur ros were scheduled to play tomorrow, the band won’t be playing at the rescheduled giants stadium gig of tonight.
