sigur rós music used at reykjavík winter lights festival

as part of the reykjavík winter lights festival, the iceland dance company, valdimar johannsson, erna ómarsdóttir, pierre alain giraud created a piece called “örævi” – the piece uses music by sigur rós and was projected on the side of oil tanks in reykjavík. embedded above is the live stream of the event which took place on the 1st of february.

at the end of 2017, the iceland dance company, valdimar johannsson and erna ómarsdóttir created a separate piece for norður og niður called the “myrkrið faðmar” (at dusk, we embrace).
