european tour begins

sigur rós and amina flew to britain this morning, where they will start their world tour. the guys are excited about playing live again, which they haven’t done since 2003. the first leg of the tour begins this friday, july 8th, in glasgow and ends in milan july 26th, followed by concerts in japan, australia and hawaii. like ágætis byrjun, the new album’s songs were largely composed in the studio, so the band has been reworking the songs into versions they can perform live. they are happy with the results and plan on debuting at least three new songs during this leg of the tour which have never been played in concert before. as always, reviews, setlists, photos, videos, etc, are more than welcome. please email us at reviews@sigur-ros.co.uk if you’d like to contribute anything to the site.
