sigur ros has been nominated for this year’s shortlist music prize, for
their album ( ). this year’s panel of judges include tom waits, dave matthews, tori amos, erykah badu, chris martin, cameron crowe and spike jonze and other nominees up for the prize include interpol, damien rice, the streets and the yeah yeah yeahs. sigur ros were awarded the shortlist music prize in 2001 for ágætis byrjun. this year’s awards show will be held october 5th in los angeles and broadcast on mtv2.
