sigur ros recorded their performance for ‘last call with carson daly’ last night at nbc studios in new york. they performed untitled #1 (a.k.a. vaka) and were surrounded on stage by screens which were showing the post-apocalyptic video for the song that was recently released. jonsi, who along with the rest of the band has taken a firm anti-war stance with regard to the current iraq conflict, had a clear anti-war symbol on his hand, which he displayed at the end of the performance. it remains to be seen if this will be edited out of the broadcast, which is due to be aired on march 26th.
