sigur ros played untitled #1 (a.k.a. vaka) on ‘last call with carson daly’ last night, accompanied by the amina string quartet. in some regions of usa the performance was suddenly cut off about a minute before the song was over and replaced by a program called ‘operation iraqi freedom’, with coverage of the war in iraq. other regions of the country didn’t have this interruption and the show ran all the way through. here is a screenshot of jonsi bashfully displaying an anti-war symbol on his hand after the performance. this didn’t appear in certain regions due to the interruption. we’ll have a video of the complete performance available for download as soon as someone sends us a good quality mpeg or avi file of the performance. please email us if you think you can help us out.
