sigur rós have decided to hold two concerts in the restaurant/pub “álafoss föt bezt”, on february 2nd and february 16th. the pub is located about 10 metres from the band’s studio in the town mosfellsbær (view photo of the area here and read more about álafoss here). the band will perform following an all-you-can-eat buffet of traditional icelandic foods, including ram’s tescicles, seal flippers, sheep heads, shark and of course the icelandic vodka brennivín. ticket information can be found on the bad taste website.
