some interviews with the band have been appearing in papers such as the icelandic fréttablaðið and norwegian dagbladet, where the band talks about some album issues. you can expect more interviews to emerge soon, since the band will be travelling to spain, portugal and france this week for press interviews. here are some off-hand notable quotes from some recent interviews (i can’t be arsed to translate them all, sorry):
jónsi: “we learned a lot from making this album and we’ve started writing new songs. we’re going to digest them a little bit and then record them as soon as we can.”
georg: “there’s no point in having song titles. our songs have no names. we could’ve made up names, but what’s the point of that?”
jónsi: “i never use songs titles myself. if i’m referring a song to a friend, i always say “check out song number 4″ or something like that.”
jónsi (addressed with the rumour of george bush being a sigur rós fan): “i really hope that rumour is bull shit.”
