sigur rós are getting a big plug from napster. you can see advertisements of sigur rós on the start page of the program and the main page of napster.com. the nme got this quote from the band: “before we had a domestic release in the us, napster was our main method of getting people to hear us. lots of people have contacted us by email and said that’s how they found us, using napster.” and this quote from shawn fanning, the founder of napster: “sigur ros’ music is incredibly compelling and unique. i’m thrilled that napster has the opportunity to expose them even more to new fans.”
