REVIEWS
Write a reviewJust magnificent – Sigur Rós + full orchestra was always going to be good. Then they brought on a full choir and finally fired up the Albert Hall organ. Takk…
My fifth Sigur Ros experience; stunning, emotional, ethereal. Beautiful venue and the choir and orchestra were sublime. So many perfect elements together. Ara Batur live was incredible. So glad the organ pipes got a great workout. Sigur Ros – you never fail to impress. Thank you.
Under the spell of this my sixth Sigur Ros show. This was so incredibly beautiful and special. The addition of the magnificent organ and choir tonight was simply amazing. Takk!
Wow what a night!!! I’ve seen Sigur Ros live many times over the last 18 years; at festivals, Jodrell Bank, in arenas and smaller gigs but the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra was mind blowing! And what an incredible moment hearing Ara Batur, I asked on so many social media posts leading up to this event to please play it and Sigur Rós listened… Takk from the bottom of my heart, I cried all the way through and will never forget ❤️
5th time seeing Sigur Rós and they never fail to amaze and delight. Absolutely stunning at The Royal Albert Hall last night.
Last night was one of the most beautiful, soul-achingly awe-inspiring experiences I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of.
I feel so grateful to have been there and to see you live again (this time with the orchestra) — it was breathtakingly beautiful.
Your music is unlike anything else: it reaches into the deepest parts of the soul and reminds us of the beauty and fragility of being human.
The orchestra was a fantastic addition, amplifying the emotional weight of every moment.
Thank you for creating something so extraordinary, for giving us an evening we will carry in our hearts forever, and for making so many lives better through your music.
I will cherish this experience for ever. Takk fyrir!
I can’t stop thinking about the Sigur Rós concert. From beginning to end, it was an unforgettable memory, crafted with such care and beauty. The production was breathtaking—every sound, every light, every moment was so perfectly aligned that I found myself lost in it completely. At times, I even felt like I was floating outside of my body, carried by the music into another realm. It was sublime, otherworldly, and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
Great and magical performance as always. Children choir and the organ pipes made additional impression. Takk!
I can’t express how wonderful and magical your music is.
My second time seeing you live but I have been your fan for the past 20 years.
I will treasure this concert forever.
Thank you so much 💓
I love you.
Intense. Emotional. Sublime.
Ara batur. I was Unfamiliar to this piece of music, towards the ending ,tears started, body started shaking , layers of music built up and up , trying so hard not to sobb , and look a fool , my body just broke down with emotion, an experience I shall never forget, so beutifull .
I was at Wednesday nights (1st) performance. There were goosebump moments from start to finish. The sound quality was incredible and the sound of the Organ suited so well. The choirs and orchestra blended effortlessly with the track.
Thank you for fulfilling a dream for me – hopefully see you soon when I pay Fischersund another visit 😊
Dear Sigur Rós,
There is not much more I can say that has not already been said. Honestly – OMG.
I have been following you across Europe – Helsinki, Rome, and now London.
And each time has been overwhelming in the best way.
I thought I knew what to expect, but nothing prepared me for how deeply it would hit me, lift me, inspire me..
It moved me so much that I am coming again on 3rd October for your last UK show.
I am in awe of what you create, and so thankful to experience it.
Takk fyrir.
Amazing musical performance with a lot of emotions emanating from the band, the orchestra & the choir, utterly brilliant and beautifully composed! Thank you, Sigur Rós!
That was THE most moving concert I’ve ever been to. I cried… several times. It was just stunning. I have loved this band for 20 years and I always listen to their music, but to hear it performed in front of me, for the first time, really touched me.
There is a before and after this show. Just chemistry-altering.
Takk.
Came with my younger daughter. We were both blown away. Magical concert. At times ethereal, at others majestic. Awesome (literally so, for once), powerful, emotional. That’s probably enough adjectives but maybe not! We shall never forget it . Takk.
I remember passing on tickets for the Royal Albert Hall gigs as I was busy most days this week, and also wanted to see the band somewhere exotic. [We live a short bus trip away from RAH]
So it was at the interval in Vienna that I check in time for the box owners’ resale (some dopy company or organisation left two boxes empty!)
So it was with great anticipation that we took our seats half way around, with a fab view of the stage, the usual spectacular sound and atmosphere.
Those guest choristers and organ player added such a sense of power and wonder.
At Saralfur I might have shed a tear or more. It has a special meaning for me. But even that didn’t prepare us for the second half and the closing treble.
