reading that splendour in the grass was the only australian show that sigur rós was doing was the final push into convincing me to buy a ticket and i’m so glad i did. it was such an immersive and wondrous and strange and beautiful out-of-this-world sort of experience. i hope you come back to australia really soon, i’ll definitely be there.

Absolutely incredible. The performance took me on a journey and even gave me an out of body experience. I felt as though i was watching the performance from in the sky! I only came back down into my body as the performance ended.

Wasn’t going to Splendour but as soon as Sigur Rós were announced I booked accommodation and sat in the online ticket line, desperate for a Sunday ticket. Got the ticket, drove 13 hours up to Byron and it was all worth it. I had high expectations because Sigur Rós always have amazing reviews for their shows PLUS they’re one of my favourite bands. Was not disappointed at all. My expectations were exceeded. It was more than just a music performance, it was a full on experience and I am so glad I was there. Can’t wait until they’re back in Australia.
