Alex Somers – Ambient Kyoto – lithograph

When I was asked to create the artwork for the very special Ambient Kyoto festival I took it as a chance to reignite my love for drawing and art making. I was very out of practice but I went through all my old materials, got new water colors and soft pencils and began experimenting again. I created around thirty new small pieces and this is the one that we landed on to represent the look and feeling of the festival. When I arrived in Kyoto it was surreal to see this little piece I had made on the floor of my house printed everywhere all over town.
